Sailing mentoring

Do you need a confidence booster? Want to sort out your spinnaker flying? Remember how to sail backwards? (Or even forwards!) Trim your sails to their best advantage? Remember how to use the wind shifts?

The training section are offering the very popular ‘Workshop Week’ again this summer when Senior Instructor John Andrews, assisted by the club dinghy instructors and other experienced members, will be available either to help you develop your confidence on the water, or to work on a particular skill.

Workshop Week - July 22nd to 26th 2013

Throughout this week, there will be a number of 2-hour sessions, which can cover anything that you would like help, instruction or practice on. It’s up to you to ask, and we’ll try to provide it. The only proviso is that you can already sail to L2 standard, as these are not ‘learn to sail sessions’.

This year we have morning, afternoon and evening sessions:

timetable

Friday afternoon followed by social sailing

We will try to keep numbers small on each session, so that we can concentrate on individual requests. But (depending on request numbers) you can come to as many sessions as you like – your first session is free and costs will be subsidised by the Training section. Each subsequent session will be £10.

If you are interested, please let Rosie know on rosiedalton@btinternet.com giving both the times you would be available, and what you would like to achieve!
